Coogi's Restaurant & Tea Garden

We had an incredible time at this restaurant. The view is absolutely stunning, a breathtaking setting that makes the meal even more special. The food was delicious, every dish was flavorful and well-prepared. In short, everything was perfect: the atmosphere, the quality of the food, the location.

A huge thank you to Kasi, our server, who was amazing! Super friendly, attentive, and professional from start to finish. He really made the experience even better.

The restaurant is in a great location, and the waiters are kind and welcoming. The terrace is quiet and cozy, with warm lights that create a nice atmosphere, and the rooftop offers a beautiful view of the city. The menu is clear and easy to read, with many colorful pictures. There is also a wide variety of food, drinks, and desserts to choose from. I really enjoyed my visit and would recommend this restaurant.

Wonderful experience in Mdina!

We were lucky enough to get a table in the garden area, which made the evening even more special. The atmosphere was incredibly pleasant, with great music and a very relaxing setting — perfect for couples looking for a romantic and peaceful dinner.

We arrived around 7:30 PM and noticed the restaurant becoming more popular closer to 8 PM, so I would recommend making a reservation if you’re sure you’d like to dine here. Even as more guests arrived, the atmosphere remained calm, elegant and enjoyable.

The Margherita pizza was absolutely delicious, with a very authentic Italian feel. The tiramisu was excellent and the sangria was also one of the highlights of the meal.

We stopped by Cooties for cappuccinos and gelato and spent some time relaxing there. One of the highlights is definitely the atmosphere. The interior seating area is beautifully designed and makes for a very pleasant place to sit, unwind, and take a break from sightseeing.

The cappuccinos were enjoyable, but unfortunately the gelato was disappointing. It appeared to be freezer-burnt and overly frozen, to the point that we didn’t finish it. In my opinion, gelato should be served fresh and creamy, and if the quality isn’t there, it would be better not to serve it at all.

The service could also be improved. The staff weren’t rude, but they didn’t come across as particularly warm or welcoming. A friendlier approach would make a big difference to the overall experience.

That said, I still enjoyed spending time there because the space itself is so inviting. With some improvements to customer service and better attention to the quality of the gelato, this could easily become a much stronger destination for visitors and locals alike.

What an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish.

The food was incredible every dish was so delicious that we genuinely couldn’t stop talking about how good it was throughout the meal. Everything was beautifully prepared and full of flavour.

What really made the experience special, though, was the exceptional service from Nala. He was one of the most attentive, caring, and genuinely lovely waiters we’ve ever had. Friendly, thoughtful, and always checking in at just the right moments, he made us feel so welcome throughout our visit.

We were seated outside in the most beautiful courtyard area, and when my friend mentioned she was feeling a little warm, another member of the team kindly went out of their way to turn on two fans for us. It was such a thoughtful touch and really reflected the level of care and attention shown by the staff as a whole.

The combination of amazing food, a stunning setting, and such genuine hospitality made for a truly wholesome experience. We left feeling happy, looked after, and with such a lovely, warm feeling. Thank you to Nala and the whole team for making our visit so memorable we can’t wait to come back.
