Lovely place, pasta bolognese came with along hair deep inside the pasta. Just asked by the team there if we wanted replacement but after seeing the hair, appetite vanished. Surprisingly they still charged us for the ‘hairy pasta’.

What an absolutely amazing experience in Malta! Felt like I was part of a Mafia family!! The restaurant was definitely super loud and full of energy, but honestly, that just added to the atmosphere and made it feel alive and authentic. The food was beyond fantastic, and the staff treated us like family from the moment we walked in.

We even had the chance to meet the owner and their family, which made the whole experience feel so personal and welcoming. They were incredibly friendly and genuine, and they treated my son like he was part of their own family. That kind of warmth is rare and unforgettable.

The calamari and shrimp were hands down the best I’ve ever had — perfectly cooked, fresh, and packed with flavor. Every dish we tried was outstanding. On top of all that, the pricing was actually very reasonable for the quality and experience we received.

If you’re looking for incredible seafood, warm hospitality, and a fun energetic atmosphere in Malta, this place is an absolute must-visit. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Last night I had dinner at Stori Sapori in Saint Julian’s and overall it was a really positive experience.

We arrived around 8 PM, when the restaurant was still relatively quiet, and Giuseppe, the head waiter, immediately made us feel welcome by letting us choose our table and taking care of us throughout the evening with great service.

We ordered two starters and two main dishes. The seafood was clearly very fresh, something you notice immediately from the fish and lobster display at the entrance. I had baby octopus in tomato sauce with olives and bruschetta, and it was honestly delicious: soft, flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in a generous portion. My friend ordered the lobster spaghetti, which looked and smelled amazing, with half a lobster served directly in the pasta.

One thing I appreciated is that while the restaurant prices are slightly above average, they balance this very well with generous portions. Instead of tiny servings, the plates actually feel full and satisfying. For example, the lobster pasta had noticeably more pasta than you usually get elsewhere, and my grilled calamari dish included more calamari than expected. It’s a smart way to justify the higher prices and make customers leave satisfied.

The small negative note was the grilled calamari dish itself. The calamari were fresh, soft, and cooked perfectly, but the french fries served on the side didn’t really match the quality or style of the rest of the menu. Roasted potatoes or vegetables would have worked much better in my opinion.

We also tried the tiramisu, which was very good and made in a traditional style with savoiardi biscuits.

The restaurant is a bit small and tables are quite close to each other, so it’s not the most private setting, but at the same time it adds to the lively and authentic Italian atmosphere.

Overall, I’d give Stori Sapori a solid 4.5/5.

Just a few metres from the beach, this is a great little authentic Italian. Lovely servers (just don't get drawn into whether Naples or Sicily is better :-). We had the sharing starter, seafood linguini, spaghetti and chicken. All very fresh with simple and tasty ingredients, properly cooked pasta and piping hot. Great flavours throughout and make sure you're hungry before you go as the portions aren't small! Fast and friendly servers clearly proud of their Italian heritage. Highly recommended.

I had an amazing experience on my own at this restaurant. As I’m a Sikh Asian girl on my own I was not discriminated and was welcomed in like family in a true Italian way. Thank you folks for this amazing experience. I loved the food it was authentic and delicious, the waiters were attentive and accommodating. Definitely recommended for all and you will not be disappointed.
